The American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses (ASPAN) announces the winner of the 2003 Award for Outstanding Achievement

Cherry Hill, New Jersey – April 16, 2003 -- The American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses (ASPAN) announces that Dina A. Krenzischek, MAS, RN, CPAN, was the recipient of the 2003 Award for Outstanding Achievement, which was presented to her at ASPAN’s 22nd annual National Conference held in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This award recognizes and honors an individual whose dedication to excellence has furthered the art and science of perianesthesia nursing. Ms. Krenzischek is awarded complimentary registration, airfare and four nights hotel accommodations to ASPAN’s 2004 National Conference as well as a handsome engraved crystal plaque.

Ms. Krenzischek represents the professional practice of perianesthesia nursing at the highest level. Her efforts include spearheading and participating in a variety of coalitions and initiatives that have influenced national lawmakers and representatives. Her contagious enthusiasm for nursing research has convinced her peers that they can not only participate in meaningful research efforts, but also accomplish great things on behalf of their patients. As Nurse Manager of multiple PACU units at Johns Hopkins, Ms. Krenzischek is described by her colleagues as ‘one in a million’ – a league beyond anyone else in her productivity and intense commitment to patient care, improving nursing practice and patient outcomes. Her trademark zeal and passion for evidence-based nursing research positively affects everyone who comes into contact with her. Ms. Krenzischek is also the Vice President/President-Elect of ASPAN.
