The American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses (ASPAN) announces its 2006 – 2007 National President

Cherry Hill, New Jersey – May 19, 2006 -- The American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses (ASPAN) announces that Pamela E. Windle, MS, RN, CNA, BC, CPAN, CAPA became the national President at its 25th silver anniversary National Conference in Orlando, Florida April 30 – May 4, 2006.

Ms. Windle is currently a Nurse Manager of the Post Anesthesia Care Unit and Surgical Observation Unit at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in Houston, Texas.

Ms. Windle earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Silliman University in the Philippines.  She graduated from Texas Woman’s University with a Masters of Science in Nursing Administration, and is a Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN), Certified Ambulatory PeriAnesthesia Nurse (CAPA) and Certified in Nursing Administration (CNA).  Ms. Windle has been a member of ASPAN since 1997.  She has won numerous awards from ASPAN, Advance for Nurses, NurseWeek, Texas Nurses’ Association (TNA) and Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) for nursing achievement.  She has lectured locally and nationally, and has contributed chapters in the competency based orientation program and the PeriAnesthesia Nursing Core Curriculum.

Ms. Windle’s main focus for her presidency is “Our Journey to Excellence”.
