Scholarship Program

The ASPAN Scholarship Program is a member benefit designed to provide financial assistance to postanesthesia, preanesthesia, pain management and ambulatory surgery nurses aspiring to enhance their abilities to contribute to the perianesthesia nursing community.

Basic Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be current Active Category members of ASPAN and a component for the past two full years prior to the application deadline of July 1. Further specific eligibility requirements for each type of scholarship are detailed in the Scholarship Brochure.

Available Scholarships

  • $1,000 scholarships for Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate in Nursing.
  • $500 scholarships (registration plus expense money) for ASPAN National Conference Attendance.
  • $285 scholarships for CPAN or CAPA Certification Exam fees.
  • Two scholarships (registration plus expense money) for the Nurse in Washington Internship (NIWI) program – see brochure for details.
  • One $500 Humanitarian Mission scholarship.

General Information

ASPAN's scholarship brochure/application is reviewed and newly revised each year. The annual deadline for application and documentation submission is July 1st.

From February 1st through June 30th, brochure/applications may be requested from the National Office or downloaded from this page. You may contact the National Office to have your name and mailing address added to our Scholarship Program mailing list for the next year. Call 877-737-9696 ext. 13 or e-mail: jcerto@aspan.org.
Applications and accompanying documentation must be postmarked on or before July 1st of that scholarship year -- no exceptions.
