The ASPAN Succession
Planning/Mentoring Strategic Working Team (SWT) is thrilled that you have
reached this site! The Up and Comers Program can open up a whole new world of
exciting possibilities in your specialty nursing career.
Whether you are
self-nominating or have been nominated by someone else within our organization
makes no difference at all. The purpose of this program is to ensure efficient
and effective succession planning by helping to identify the individual needs
of members at the component and/or national level and by creating, providing
and/or supporting interventions for members to reach their professional goals.
We do appreciate that
the perianesthesia nursing community is diverse and consequently we feel that
the varying generations, educational preparations, different practice settings
and cultural backgrounds only add to the richness of our present and future
state of well-being! Your desire to be mentored and your commitment to
advancing the core purpose and envisioned future of ASPAN is the common link
within our program.
Now that you know our
purpose and would like to continue to pursue this exciting opportunity, we
kindly request that you complete the posted formal “Mentee Application”
and then forward it to the Co-Coordinators of the Up and Comers Program. If you
do not have a mentor in mind, don’t be concerned. We will review your
application to determine the most appropriate match based on your responses.
If you have any
questions or concerns that you would like addressed please feel free to contact
us: mbeturne@aspan.org and pwindle@sleh.com. We do look forward to
hearing from you soon!
