Upon review of ASPAN’s Strategic Plan and our B.A.G., describe your vision as a national leader to keep the organization current and relevant in the existing healthcare environment to meet the needs of the membership.  How will you assure ASPAN is strategically positioned to accomplish our goals and objectives?

ASPAN must remain the influential voice and leading advocate of perianesthesia nursing. As Director for Development, I am committed and dedicated to communicating this message to our members, industry, and the healthcare community.  I will collaborate with the ASPAN Marketing & Exhibits Manager to identify fundraising goals, solicit donors, and secure industry support.  Through active EBP research, position statements, practice guidelines, and educational offerings ASPAN will strategically position itself to be that influential voice.  We must identify and facilitate industry sponsorship and grants to support these initiatives.  New programs must be developed and projects created which encourage participation with grassroots membership.  Two years ago, I asked you to be partners, with me, in a journey for a better perianesthesia future.  Today, I ask you to support me in continuing that journey.  I believe in finishing goals started, in mentoring for the future and in traveling this road as a TEAM.
