Upon review of ASPAN’s Strategic Plan and our B.A.G., describe your vision as a national leader to keep the organization current and relevant in the existing healthcare environment to meet the needs of the membership.  How will you assure ASPAN is strategically positioned to accomplish our goals and objectives?

The future of ASPAN rests on the vision of its leaders, involvement of its members, and implementation of the strategic plan.  Our organization has identified education and knowledge, safety and practice, public access to information, and research as important issues in our future.  If elected as your Secretary, I am committed to serve ASPAN and all of our members by assisting the organization in reaching these goals.  I will deliver to ASPAN a project management and process reengineering approach to updating our policies and procedures, bylaws, and Representative Assembly process.  I will promote communication to the grassroots and stakeholders of the organization.  I will work within the timelines established and mentor our members in keeping the end in sight.  Utilizing the strategic plan, together we will keep ASPAN on its course of being recognized as the leading association in perianesthesia nursing education, practice standards, and research.
