Upon review of ASPAN’s Strategic Plan and our B. A.G., describe your vision as a national leader to keep the organization current and relevant in the existing healthcare environment to meet the needs of the membership. How will you assure ASPAN is strategically positioned to accomplish our goals and objectives?

The future of healthcare, and specifically our specialty organization, depends on a strong plan which will strategically position us at the table with key stakeholders both inside and outside of ASPAN.  As Director for Development, I will support ASPAN’s core purpose by collaborating with the Marketing Director on a creative plan to reach fund raising goals. I am committed to position ASPAN in the center of the advertising circles and in the boardrooms of the vendors and other funding sources.  I will work diligently to heighten awareness of our specialty and increase ASPAN’s visibility at events where potential relationships with donors can be started and/or enhanced.  I will actively mentor Development Committee members.  Together, we will collaborate with leadership and grassroots members to enhance our image and market our achievements which will ultimately lead to greater fund development.  As perianesthesia nursing becomes recognized and valued, the needs of our members are realized!
