Upon review of ASPAN’s Strategic Plan and our B.A.G., describe your vision as a national leader to keep the organization current and relevant in the existing healthcare environment to meet the needs of the membership. How will you assure ASPAN is strategically positioned to accomplish our goals and objectives?
Each day, we face challenges in the workplace. Through ASPAN’s foundation of knowledge, perianesthesia nurses have handled obstacles and continually apply ASPAN’s standards in practice. Through ASPAN’s influence, we are able to enhance the quality of care provided. ASPAN’s strategic plan guides members and leaders into the future. I believe our main goal is the branding of ASPAN as the premier source of care in the perianesthesia setting. My vision, as Regional Director, is to connect with my colleagues to influence leadership succession, mentoring and implement evidence based practice to advocate the best and safest care. I believe that communication is the vital link all the way to the grassroots. We are ASPAN, the past, present and future. I am motivated and committed to leading Region 2 members. Therefore, I invite you to join me as we move forward in making ASPAN the indispensable resource organization for our members and patients.
