Competency
Based Orientation Credentialing Program – 2002 Edition
[order]
The ASPAN
Competency Based Orientation and Credentialing Program
is a comprehensive guide to competency and skill
development for perianesthesia nurses. Written by
perianesthesia experts, the manual can be used to orient the
new perianesthesia nurse, or select chapters can be used for
audited skills and annual updates for the entire
perianesthesia nursing staff. The goal is to provide
perianesthesia nurses a framework of essential performance
criteria. These unique performance criteria establish basic
competencies needed to practice in diverse perianesthesia
practice settings.
The chapters are written in easy to use format, with
competency statements, criteria, rationale, test questions,
references, and tables to check off each nurse when criteria
are met. User-friendly, three-hole punched pages can be
placed into any binder for individual use, allowing you to
add information pertinent to your own unit. |
