ASPAN Privacy Policy

The American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses (ASPAN) respects your privacy and wants you to know ASPAN makes every effort to protect the personally identifiable information you provide to ASPAN. Following are the guidelines ASPAN uses to ensure your privacy is protected.

Collection of Information: The ASPAN Web server does not automatically recognize information regarding the domain or e-mail address of visitors to our Web pages.

ASPAN collects the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail; aggregate information about which Web pages customers access; information volunteered by the customer, such as survey information and/or site registrations, name, address, telephone number, fax number and payment information (e.g., credit card number and billing address).

The information ASPAN collects is used to notify consumers about updates to the ASPAN Web site and shared with other reputable organizations to help them contact consumers for research purposes, but is not shared with other organizations for commercial purposes.

Mailings: The ASPAN membership list is given periodically to other organizations who wish to send information regarding various educational courses, publications or other products or services that are presumed to be of interest to acute and critical care practitioners. ASPAN carefully screens all such requests to ensure that these offerings are appropriate and in good taste.

Ad Servers: ASPAN does not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies.

Changes: From time to time, ASPAN may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If ASPAN information practices change, ASPAN will post the policy changes on the ASPAN Web site to notify you of these changes and provide you with the opportunity to opt out of these new uses. If you are concerned about how your information is used, you should check back at the ASPAN Web site periodically.

Consumers can change or correct this information by requesting the change via e-mail, telephone or written communication, using the contact information above.

Upon request, ASPAN offers visitors the ability to have inaccuracies corrected in contact information. Consumers can have this information corrected by sending ASPAN an e-mail at the above address, calling ASPAN at the above telephone number, writing to ASPAN at the above address.

Security: ASPAN has appropriate security measures in place at the National Office to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that ASPAN has collected from you.
