We are so excited that you have chosen to visit this section of the ASPAN Web site! In 2008, our Evidence Based Practice (EBP) SWT structured an Online Journal Club specifically designed to help ASPAN members read, understand and critically evaluate research. In 2013 this journal club has been updated by the EBP SWT.
The Online Journal Club offers an interactive feature which allows participants to discuss multiple research and EBP topics. We invite you to join the Club, increase your research and EBP knowledge, and then apply published research findings in clinical practice. The objectives are to: help members become familiar with the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) FAME levels of evidence; to practice critiquing an article using the appropriate appraisal tool; and to review the common concepts related to research and evidence-based practice.
If you are a current ASPAN member and would like more information, please contact Elizabeth Card, MSN, RN, APRN, FNP-BC, CPAN, CCRP, ASPAN Director for Research, firstname.lastname@example.org; or Christine Tomes, MSN, RN, CPAN, ASPAN EBP Strategic Work Team Coordinator, email@example.com.
We look forward to hearing from you. Again, welcome aboard!
