Felicia Selman, MSN, RN, CAPA

Professional Experience:

Felicia brings 45 years of nursing experience, including 17 years as a dedicated perianesthesia clinical nurse. She currently serves as a PACU Clinical Development Specialist, with previous expertise in critical care, public health nursing, and staff development management. Within ASPAN, she has contributed extensively as an elected Director for Education, National Conference planner, and active member of Membership and Marketing, Advancing/Emerging Leaders, and Humanitarian Global Outreach. Her leadership with TAPAN includes serving as President-Elect, President, Immediate Past President, Education Chair, Gold Leaf Committee Chair, and Component Newsletter Editor. Recognized as an innovative and distinguished thought leader, Felicia exemplifies transformational leadership. She is also a committed mentor and certification coach, dedicated to guiding the next generation of perianesthesia nurses. A passionate ASPAN member, she champions professional excellence and remains steadfast in advancing the organization’s mission, vision, and global impact.

My vision is driven by my passion to foster change based on ASPAN’s strategic plan for leadership development. I am committed to advancing evidence-based practice, expanding research, ensuring all members are equipped to deliver high-quality outcome care. With my experience, as past board member, I will champion an adaptability mindset, encouraging members to embrace change with curiosity and forward thinking. By promoting advocacy, embracing innovation, and amplifying ASPAN’s global presence, I will position our organization as both a continued trusted resource and a bold voice for our specialty. I understand that building a supportive professional community where all voices are heard and valued is key to our growth. Our collective commitment will uphold ASPAN's core purpose of empowerment and professional advancement.
