Scholarship/Award Program Information
The ASPAN Scholarship/Award Program is an ASPAN member benefit designed to provide financial assistance to postanesthesia, preanesthesia, pain management and ambulatory surgery nurses aspiring to enhance their abilities to contribute to the perianesthesia nursing community.
2026 ASPAN Scholarship/Award Program
Basic Eligibility Requirements for ASPAN Scholarships/Awards
Applicants must be current Active Category members of ASPAN and a component for the past two full, continuous years and currently participate in component or ASPAN national activities prior to the application deadline of July 1. Further specific eligibility requirements for each type of scholarship are detailed in the scholarship Instructions.
2026 ASPAN Scholarship/Award Program (awarded in 2027):
- $1,500 tuition scholarships for Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate in Nursing (for degree classes in 2027)\
- ASPAN National Conference
• In-person attendance at ASPAN’s 2027 National Conference held in New Orleans, Louisiana, $1,000
• Access to electronic educational sessions recorded from ASPAN’s 2027 National Conference, ~$550 (amount subject to change)
- $350 awards for CPAN or CAPA Certification Exams held in spring 2027 or fall 2027
- $1,000 Humanitarian Mission awards (approved expenses for mission trips occurring in 2027)
- American Organization for Nursing Leadership’s (AONL) Advocacy Day program in May 2027 (two awards available: approved expenses – including early bird registration fee – up to $2,000 each)
Instructions, Checklists and Required Forms
- Applicants must be current Active Category members of ASPAN and a component for the past two full years prior to the application deadline of July 1, 2026
- Applicants must currently participate in component or ASPAN national activities
- Please fully read ALL eligibility requirements and instructions before proceeding
- All scholarships/awards are paid in 2027 for degree programs, events, or activities occurring in 2027 only
- Please complete and save forms on a desktop personal computer or laptop rather than using a mobile device
- ASPAN Scholarship/Award Program Deadline: Application packets (FIVE hard copies – one original and four photocopies) of the application AND all required supporting documentation, collated, and stapled together as five separate complete packets, and mailed in one large envelope, must be postmarked on or before July 1, 2026
