After reviewing ASPAN’s Strategic Plan and our Compelling Vision, describe your vision as a national leader to keep the organization current and relevant in the existing healthcare environment to meet the needs of the membership. How will you assure ASPAN is strategically positioned to accomplish our goals and objectives?
As an ASPAN member, bedside nurse, and board representative, it is imperative that the organization continues to evolve and empower its members with the knowledge and resources to best serve our patients and their families in their most vulnerable time. I share my knowledge gained through ASPAN and mentor my fellow nurses. It is my vision that ASPAN continues to provide the resources and guidelines to its members, fostering professional growth while developing relationships and inspiring members. I aspire to continue to uphold the ASPAN core values both personally and professionally. This is to encourage and promote the art of perianesthesia nursing to ensure high quality, evidenced based care. This will affect the higher values through courage, advocacy, respect, excellence and service. My vision for ASPAN is to empower our members through accessible guidelines and collaborative networks, ensuring we are strategically positioned to adapt to the evolving healthcare landscape.
